Global Application Acceleration Service

The global acceleration service opening procedure to improve the quality of Internet application service in the customer's service area is as follows.

  1. Define a name to create an accelerator and define the maximum amount of data provided for the service.

  2. Set the listener of Accelerator in the target service area that the end user connects to.

  3. Set the endpoint in the region where the backend server that provides Internet application services is located.

  4. Set the information for the backend server(origin server) that provides Internet application services.

A service opening wizard is provided to create an accelerator that provides the above global acceleration service, and the setup method is as follows.

Getting Started with Accelerator Setup Wizard

  • Click 'Create Accelerator' in the Global Accelerator menu to run the accelerator setup wizard.

Accelerator Settings.

  • Define a name for accelerator creation and define the maximum amount of data provided for the service.

a. Set the accelerator's name. b. Set the maximum data usage per month for service when using the global acceleration service. Customers cannot use more than the set data usage limit, but they can modify the data usage if the usage settings needs to change. c. Click the 'Next' button.

Listener Settings.

  • Set the listener of Accelerator in the target service area that the end user connects to. (Please refer to Listener setting.)

a. Set the listener’s name. b. Select the listener region, which is the physical location where you want to create the listener. c. Set the protocol used by the customer's Internet application service to perform the acceleration service. Currently, the global acceleration service supports TCP and UDP protocols. d. Set the service port used for the customer's Internet application service. Example) HTTP web service port: 80 e. Click the 'Next' button.

Endpoint and Backend Server Settings

a. Set the Endpoint Name. b. Select the Endpoint Region, which is the physical location where you want to create the endpoint. c. Enter the IP information of the Backend Server (origin server) that provides the customer's Internet application service. d. Enter the service port of the Backend Server (origin server) that provides the customer's Internet application service. Example) HTTP web service port: 80 e. Click the 'Creator Accelerator' button to complete the process of accelerator creation.

How to register customer’s Accelerator IP

  • Set up the customer's DNS, etc. so that the end user can access the Internet application service with the accelerator's static IP address. Depending on how the customer provides Internet application service, it is necessary to set the user's request to the Accelerator.
